SENATE BILL 310—Jury Service (Felony Convictions)
An amendment to the Code of Civil Procedure, Section 203 will be in effect January 1, 2020. The amendment is to the prohibition relative to persons who have been convicted of a felony from being eligible and qualified to be a prospective trial juror. Instead, the new law now makes persons previously convicted of a felony now eligible and qualified, unless they are incarcerated in any prison or jail, or persons who have been convicted of a felony and are currently on parole, post release community supervision, felony probation, or mandated supervision for the conviction of a felony, and persons who are currently required to register as a sex offender based on a felony conviction. Change in Counter Hours
Effective Monday, November 23rd, the Nevada City clerk's counter will close at 3:00 p.m. The building will remain open until 5:00 p.m. and any documents that need to be filed may be left in the drop box located just outside the Courthouse lobby.

Press Release—Counter Service Changes.
Nevada City—The Suite 5 clerk’s office (on the first floor closest to the front entrance) will now provide in-person service for all case types with the exception of Family Court Services, which will be serviced at the walk-up window on the second floor outside of Department 3.

Truckee—The clerk’s office has reopened and will provide in person service for all case types.

Allocations For Fiscal Year 2015-2016
At its July 28, 2015 meeting, the Judicial Council made 2015–2016 Trial Court Trust Fund (TCTF) and General Fund allocations to trial courts . Attachment A provides a summary of each court’s base and one-time allocations for 2015–2016, and Attachments B through E provide details.
